RINGARDS – Flaccid Venus
London-based trio RINGARDS release “Flaccid Venus” via Panache Records. Formed in East London in 2018, the band brings together Enzo Salinie (lead vocals/guitar), Gary Cartmill (bass), and Joe Hornby Patterson (drums)—three musicians hailing from just about every corner of the globe.
The track is a song about erectile dysfunction, though also working as a metaphor for broader disengagement. The lyrics bounce between workplace alienation (“Why the work force disengaged / I should be in the guardian”) and surreal drinking scenes (“Spilt a Tenants on an Irish surgeon some Dundee fan who loves American bourbon”). The refrain “My love is so soft / I’m flaccid venus” sits at the center, equal parts self-deprecating and defiant.
RINGARDS blend alternative rock, punk, post-punk, and indie rock into urgent, physical songs driven by tension, repetition, and emotional release. Known for intense live performances and raw lyrical themes, they explore identity, desire, masculinity, toxic relationships, and the need to escape familiar cycles. Music built for movement, late nights, and the restless energy of the city.
Stereobar previously covered the band’s “Stubborn Stain” in June 2025 and “In The Corner” in October 2025. The band self-produced “Flaccid Venus.”
